Today was my best media day yet.  I had ABC, CBS, and NBC affiliates interview me today, along with a Mail Tribune newspaper reporter, a photographer, and even an intern that was playing with a video camera.

Sadly, the turnout was very small.  I went to a food pantry, and most people were reluctant to share their stories.  I think I’ve decided food pantries are a bad place to collect stories.  Under ordinary circumstances, these people would open up and have amazing things to say, but something about the context of a food pantry makes my interaction with them condescending, patronizing, and humiliating.  I should have known better.

Okay, I don’t think I can finish this blog.  I had two hours of sleep last night, 4 hours the night before, and I MUST get some sleep (I’m falling in and out of sleep).  I hope to share some stories when I wake up.  Goodnight!
